2012 Bocce Ball Tournament – Rolling Success!

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The 2nd Annual BBF Bocce Ball Tournament had a fantastic turn out at Campo de Bocce in Los Gatos on April 22, 2012. Alumni, friends, and current athletes gathered for some friendly competition on a perfect Sunday afternoon. Guests were greeted by University President, Fr. Michael Engh S.J. as they entered and treated with BBF President Andy Schatzman’s running commentary as he emceed the night.
With 24 teams competing for a chance to win the championship, all 150 plus attendees had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. The championship was won on the last roll of the night by the team of Alfaro & O’Leary- who made the long drive from Stockton!
The evening did not conclude without surprises. Local American Idol contestant, Lindsey Albanese, treated the crowd to a beautiful rendition of God Bless America. Lindsey was joined by another celebrity in attendance- SCU All-American, National Champion and Gold Medalist Aly Wagner.
