Jul 10, 2012 Record Number of Bronco Student-Athletes Named to 11th Annual WCC Commissioner's List Continuing to show its one of the leaders among West Coast schools in the classroom, a record number 124 Bronco student-athletes have been named to the 11th annual West Coast Conference Commissioner’s List this year, besting last year's mark of 122. Santa Clara had 23 on the Gold list, 35 on the Silver list and 58 on the Bronze list. Proving its making bigger strides in the classroom, Santa Clara had three more on the Gold list this year and 14 more on the Silver list. [more]

Apr 18, 2012 - Women's Tennis Santa Clara Women's Tennis, Men's Cross Country Lead Athletic Department with 3.5+ GPAs in Winter 2012 Santa Clara University’s student-athletes recorded a 3.107 grade point average (GPA) for the Winter 2012 quarter, topping 3.0 or better for the 15th time in 16 quarters. In addition 105 student-athletes achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher this quarter - 35 more than last quarter - and 81 Bronco student-athletes have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA. Santa Clara’s cumulative GPA for its student-athletes is 3.048. [more]

2012 Bocce Ball Tournament – Rolling Success! The 2nd Annual BBF Bocce Ball Tournament had a fantastic turn out at Campo de Bocce in Los Gatos on April 22, 2012. Alumni, friends, and current athletes gathered for some friendly competition on a perfect Sunday afternoon. Guests were greeted by University President, Fr. Michael Engh S.J. as they entered and treated with BBF President Andy Schatzman’s running commentary as he emceed the night. [more]

New Attendance Record Set at 2012 LA Golf Tournament Rain could not dampen the fun had by the record-setting crowd of 175 at the Los Angeles Golf Tournament’s 20th Anniversary on April 26th at the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena. Joining the festivities this year were SCU Alumni and celebrity guests Dan Pastorini ‘71, Mike Pereira ‘72 and Mike Carey ‘71 who delighted the crowd with an open ended Q & A program after dinner.
