Lou Lucas began volunteering at his alma mater in June 1992 as the Administrative Assistant of travel for the 19 sports at Santa Clara University. His responsibilities include making flight arrangements and hotel reservations for the team members and coaches during the seasons' away games.
Lucas, a native of the Bay Area, attended SCU on a baseball scholarship and earned a bachelor's degree in history in 1953. Following graduation he served as an Artillery Officer during the Korean conflict.
Prior to returning to the Broncos, Lucas was a teacher of U.S Government at Santa Clara High School and Bellarmine College Prep for 30 years. While at Santa Clara High School, Lucas was an assistant baseball coach at SCU for 20 years. He was also an assistant baseball coach for the last nine years at St. Francis High School in Mountain View.
Lucas served on the alumni board of directors association for three years and was name to two athletics Hall of Fames: Bellarmine and Santa Clara University.
Lucas resides in Cupertino. He has four children and is a proud grandfather of five.
