Santa Clara Team Physical Therapists
Fabrice Rockich, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Fabrice grew up in Saratoga. With an interest in health, wellness and medicine, combined with a passion to work and help others, he decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. Fabrice received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biodynamics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994. In 1998, he earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. He has practiced physical therapy since 1998 and opened OPTM Physical Therapy of Saratoga in 2004.
He is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and board certified as an Orthopedic Specialist.
Fabrice is a Fellow of Applied Functional Science and earned his fellowship after training for one year with the internationally acclaimed Gray Institute. At this time, he also earned a certification in Functional Manual Reaction (FMR), a manual therapy skill which mobilizes joints and stretches soft tissue. With his specialized training, Fabrice takes a global functional approach when evaluating and treating individuals with musculoskeletal problems. He believes in treating the body as a whole functional unit instead of a series of independent body parts. Musculoskeletal pain commonly results from mechanical flaws in the body above and below the symptomatic region. He uses a comprehensive approach to screen full body movements to detect and treat deficiencies throughout the body, not just the symptomatic area.
He is a member of the Santa Clara University Sports Medicine team and provides physical therapy care to the university’s athletes. He has a special interest in Sports Medicine, and has worked with many athletes of all ages and skill levels. He is certified in Sportsmetrics™, a scientifically proven program for the knee, which focuses on knee injury prevention, ACL reconstruction rehabilitation, and sports performance enhancement. Fabrice has special interest and extensive knowledge in knee injury prevention and rehabilitation of young females, since there is a high incidence of major knee injuries in this population.
Fabrice is certified as a Nike Golf Performance Specialist. With this unique training, Fabrice is skilled at golf performance analysis, biomechanics analysis, and prescribing specific exercises to improve the golfer’s body and game. He is involved with My Optimum Golf, a program designed to improve the golfer’s performance of any skill level.
Fabrice enjoys working with seniors. For several years, he worked in home health rehabilitation, helping many people of the geriatric population recover and return to an independent or assisted-care lifestyle in their homes after hospitalization.
In his spare time, Fabrice enjoys watching sports, participating in recreational exercise, and spending time with his family and friends. Fabrice gives back to the community and those in need as a member of Saratoga Rotary.
