SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Sunday's series finale between the Santa Clara University baseball team and California at Stephen Schott Stadium has been postponed due to rain. A possible makeup on Monday night will be decided on by Monday.
Â
Sunday's finale – originally scheduled for 3 p.m., then moved up to noon with weather in the forecast – was canceled after weather reports showed rain moving into the Bay Area beginning around 1 p.m., then coming on steady at 2 p.m. and continuing all through the night and into Monday evening.

The Broncos (1-2) took Friday's series opener in Berkeley by a mercy rule score of 13-2 in seven innings. California (2-1) answered back by sweeping a doubleheader Saturday, both by come-from-behind efforts and both in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the ninth.
Â
Santa Clara's next opponent following California is San Jose State, tentatively scheduled for a 6:05 p.m. start on Tuesday at Excite Ballpark in San Jose. That game, too, could be affected by weather. Stay tuned to the Broncos' social media channels and SantaClaraBroncos.com for schedule updates.
