Santa Clara’s Hayden Shieh Qualifies for NCAA Golf Championships
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara freshman Hayden Shieh (Fremont, Calif./Mission San Jose) was selected to compete in the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship. Shieh was awarded an at-large berth into the tournament based on his outstanding season, which included a title at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational in November, four top 10 finishes and a 72.31 scoring average.

STANFORD, Calif. – Competing against 18 teams ranked in the top 100 by Golfweek.com, the Santa Clara men’s golf team held its own to claim 12th place at The Goodwin, completed Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course. The prestigious event annually attracts top programs from around the country and the 2015 tournament field was stacked with eight teams ranked in the top 40.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men’s golfer Tyler Kertson is one of 87 elite amateur golfers scheduled to compete in the 48th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship in Flagstaff, Ariz. beginning July 22. The par-72, 7,272 yard Jay Morrish designed Pine Canyon Club will host the 72-hole, four-day stroke play competition, for the chance to raise the Dr. Ed Updegraff trophy as champion of one of the Pacific Coast's most historic golfing events.
