Cameron Rast, on game: "I thought that we were very opportunistic tonight. Saint Louis did a good job of controlling the ball early, but we were very organized and we did not allow them to break through. I think we did a good job of shutting them down and we took our goals when we had the chances."
Rast, on first-half goals: "Aaron's (Clubb) goal was big for us because it gave us a big lift. He really had no business challenging for that ball, but he went up for it and got a big goal for us. The second goal really took the wind out of their sails. Jide (Ogunbiyi) came on and made an impact right away by getting the ball and finding Keith (DeVey) in the box. That second goal really sent us on our way."
Aaron Clubb, on goal: "The cross was really high in the air. I knew that I had to challenge the keeper and I was fortunate to get my head on the ball. They had a lot of momentum at that time so that goal was important for us to get our confidence and put them back on their heels a bit."
Clubb, on importance of beating Saint Louis: "We have been talking about this game all week. They beat UCONN 5-1 last week when UCONN was No. 2 in the country, so we knew that they were a good team. This is a huge win for us. We are also happy to get another win at home because we never want to lose at home."
Amaechi Igwe, on goal: "Cam (Rast) has been telling me all week to take the shot when I have it. He worked with me after practice on my shooting and it really paid off. When I got the ball I told myself that I needed to take a chance and shoot, and I was able to get a good piece of it and put it in the net."
Igwe, on senior leaders: "We have some great leaders on this team that are helping this team come together. Everyone feels really comfortable with each other right now because of their leadership. We have not even played our best soccer yet but we believe in each other and we think that we are going to get even better this year."
