Head coach Cameron Rast, on game: "Tonight was a big game for us and we had a great crowd behind us. We are glad to get the full three points. I am pleased for our guys because they are playing well and getting results right now so hopefully we can keep this momentum going."
Rast, on goal: "Amaechi had a great week in practice so that is why he started. A few minutes before the goal, he had one that just banked off the goalkeeper that he was unlucky not to finish. Then, he came right back and did a great job to catch the keeper with a quick shot and give us the lead."
Rast, looking ahead to next week's road trip: "We know that we will have two difficult games down there, so we have to be ready. USF went down there and won two games so we will hopefully take a page out of their book."
Amaechi Igwe, on win: "It felt great to get the win tonight. I have not scored many goals this season and I wanted to contribute more. So to score and help the team win in such a big game felt very good."
Igwe, on goal: "After I got the pass from Sean (Danzeiser) I took a touch and for a moment I thought that the defender might get it. But I was able to move around him and I saw an opening so I took the shot and it went in."
Joseph Buttitta, on upcoming games against LMU and USD: "Next weekend is huge for us. It is always hard to play down there and LMU beat us on our home field so we want to go down there and get two good results. That would put us in great shape. If we go down there and lose then tonight's win will have meant nothing."
Buttitta, on first half save on Neil Stuart: "We had a little lapse early on and they played a good ball in. I thought he was going to go to my right and I was right so I was able to make the save."
Buttitta, on beating USF: "They are a good team and they will probably make the tournament and do well. It felt good to beat them tonight though and keep them behind us in the standings."
