Head coach Cameron Rast, on winning WCC: "The season has progressed well for us. We have a lot of young players on this team and they have really stepped up and played key roles for us. Also, our two seniors, Keith DeVey and Erik Ustruck, have played very well to help get us this championship. I am pleased with the team's effort and we need to keep it going next weekend."
Rast, on Sunday's game: "We knew that they would come out hard because they still had a chance to win the conference. They played well and could have been up a goal or two, but we withstood that early attack and were able to even things out. Once we got ourselves into the game, we started to look dangerous and we got a great goal from Keith (DeVey). It was a great result for us."
Rast, on team's eight-game unbeaten streak: "We talked a lot about what kind of team we wanted to be after we lost to LMU last time. I think the team has recognized that we need to work hard and use the talent that we have. If we do that, we can play with anyone. These past eight games, we have learned how to play together and get results in all kinds of different situations."
Sophomore Jide Ogunbiyi, on goal: "They were pressing everyone forward at the end so I was up top by myself with only one or two defenders. We cleared it out of the back and I just got the ball and was able to get in behind them. Then I just finished it off."
Ogunbiyi, on team's recent good form: "We have gotten fitter as the season has gone on and we have learned how to play together. The freshmen have also really started to play well and make big contributions which has been important. Halfway through the year, we realized that if we wanted to make the NCAA's, we would have to win the league so have been really focused on that."
Ogunbiyi, looking ahead to next weekend: "We have to keep playing well and get two big wins next weekend. If we want a good seed in the tournament, we need those wins and it will also keep our momentum going."
