Head coach Cameron Rast, on game: "Today was not our best effort, but I think that we had a good overall regular season. We just need to put this game behind us and come out ready to play when the playoffs start. I think that the team will be able to bounce back."
Rast, looking ahead to playoffs: "I am not sure where we are going to be seeded. We have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Whatever happens with the seeding, I think that we will be ready to play when the playoffs come around and we will be in the mix to compete for the national championship."
Rast, on seniors: "Keith (DeVey) and Erik (Ustruck) have been great players for us and we have been able to depend on them day in and day out for four years. They have made immeasurable contributions to this program. Both players have been the heart and soul of the team for all four seasons that they have played."
Matt Hatzke: "I saw Jide (Ogunbiyi) on the ball out wide so I took an opportunity to step up into the play and he found me with a great ball. I hit it hard into the box and luckily Amaechi (Igwe) was there to pick it up and put it away."
Hatzke, on game: "It was a tough to lose on today and not get a win for the seniors. We treated this game like a playoff game because we knew that it was important for the NCAA Tournament seeding. Unfortunately, we did not get a win, but will just have to turn around and be ready in the playoffs."
Amaechi Igwe, on team's attack: "I think that the team has been combining well offensively and we have been creating a lot of chances. It is fun to play when there are a bunch of players who can score goals and create them."
Igwe, looking ahead to playoffs: "We will be ready to go when the tournament starts. We have played a lot of good teams this year so we will know what to expect. The team needs to make sure that we raise our intensity and our level of play and put today's loss behind us."
