Head coach George Husack, on win: "This win was huge for us. It was our first win at Cal Poly in program history and it was also our third straight road win against a quality opponent. They had a big crowd out there, but we played our game and got the win."
Husack, on doubles point: "Getting the doubles point was even more important today, because a lot of the crowd thinned out after we won the doubles. We really silenced the crowd with that win and that helped our singles."
Senior Jan Macek, on nine-match winning streak: "At the beginning of this streak, we said that we had nine pool balls and that we wanted to sink each one, one at a time. With the win today, we have now sunk all nine. We took it one match at a time and we got through this tough stretch."
Macek, on road wins: "Every win we pick up on the road, we get more and more confidence. Beating Saint Mary's, USF and Cal Poly in one week on the road is great. We need to keep building on this."
Macek, on doubles match: "Bobby and I kept fighting and we knew that we would have a chance to break back after getting down early. We got our chance and we took it. We hit some good shots in the tiebreaker and we were able to pull it out. That was important because the crowd got a lot smaller after we won that match. We also had momentum on our side."
