No. 14 Broncos Fall To No. 11 UC San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Fourteenth ranked Santa Clara men's water polo (16-14; 3-4 WWPA) lost to No. 11 UC San Diego by a score of 14-7 on Friday. It was the first of three weekend WWPA games for the Broncos.
Santa Clara's offense was led by Theo Nasser who scored 2 goals. David Guibord, Brett Zylstra, Mat Kochalko, Tucker Carlson and Casidhe McClone rounded out the scoring for the Broncos with one goal each. The goal for McClone was the first of his collegiate career.
Senior goalkeeper Michael Wishart continued his excellent season by recording seven more blocks on the game.
The Broncos return to the pool tomorrow, Sat., Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. to take on Loyola Marymount. Sun., Nov. 6 Santa Clara wraps-up its road trip with a Noon game at Chapman.
