Head Coach Chris Denker
"We did start off just a tiny bit slow, right off the bat, but overall, we played okay in the first half. We just missed some shots we're accustomed to making. We also messed up a couple of defensive assignments and gave them wide-open looks. I really felt at halftime we could have been up 16 or 18 points had we just done those things. That's what we talked about doing in the second half.
"Part of the problem was in the second half, Fresno gained a little bit of confidence because of our play. Bur we came out in the second half, and Caroline came out and hit a couple of shots right away, and Tammy got one in the corner that really got us going in the second half and helped us carry on the lead.
"Our first-half defense was really solid. We held them to 25 percent shooting in the period. And we were rebounding well, which was really important because this team lives off the o-boards.
"The second-half shooting numbers look outstanding. Down the stretch, when they were going to try to press and foul and to make 11 of 11... well, we'll take that any day. I'm very pleased with that.
On the Broncos' upcoming game against Temple
"Temple's a lot like Fresno State, actually. They're athletic, a good rebounding team. They have played a very tough schedule and they're playing it very well. They're going to be one of the tougher teams we'll play. It's going to be a big, big game for us. We too, have played a tough schedule and we're hoping some of that experience will help us on Wednesday."
