Women's Hoops Offers Fun Promotions this Weekend

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University's women's basketball team is leading the West Coast Conference with a 10-4 record and it needs your support to improve that mark this weekend. The Broncos are hosting two tough games at the Leavey Center, and offering special promotions for Bronco fans. The team hosts Pepperdine on Thursday, Jan. 16 and Loyola Marymount on Saturday, Jan. 18. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. tip-offs.

The Athletic Department is hosting Girl Scout Night for Thursday's contest against Pepperdine. Girl Scouts will receive a special $2 admission price by wearing their uniform or pin.

Thursday night is also High School Night. High School teams are invited to attend free with prior reservation. Please call Lindsay Amstutz at 408-554-4690 by Wednesday for more information.

On Saturday against LMU, all Bronco Kidz will receive free admission as part of Bronco Kidz Day. Bronco Kidz will be invited to join the team on the court for player introductions and the National Anthem.

For only a $10 annual fee, Kidz members get a t-shirt, Kidz ID card, free admission to special Bronco Kidz Days, and a discounted $2 admission for all other ticketed sporting events.

Santa Clara opened the 2003 WCC season last Saturday night with a 34-point victory over San Diego. The win marked Santa Clara's 34th home league victory in its last 36 contests, dating back more than five seasons.
