Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson
On the game:
"At the beginning of the second half, we just need to get to the point where we can build a 17-point lead into a 25-point lead. We have to get stronger and I felt that we were allowing them to score too easily, and we became too careless on the offensive end with turnovers."
On the team's outside shooting carrying the day:
"Ashley and Chandice came through for us there. Whenever we would start to struggle, one of them would hit a three and turn things around for us."
On halting the three-game skid:
"A win is a win, and the good thing about today is that we did finish the last four minutes of the game pretty strong. We did get some strong rebounds and key stops on the defensive end, and now we need to finish our non-conference schedule strong at San Jose State and fix a few things to give ourselves confidence heading into WCC play."
Guard Ashley Graham
On the team bouncing back from the Toledo rally
"That's happened to us a couple of times before, and we're just working on staying strong despite adversity. We just have to continue to fight hard."
On the team's hot outside shooting: "We have to keep shooting every opportunity that we get. We have great shooters on our team so we know that we can get hot at any time."
On getting a win to break a three-game skid:
"This was a big win for us. Despite their rally in the second half, this was a good win for us regardless, and it will help us especially heading into conference play in a week."
