Santa Clara Head Coach Michelle Bento-Jackson
On ending the non-conference season on a winning note:
"From a confidence standpoint, after we had lost three games in a row, these last two wins can do nothing but help our team in that area. The first phase of our season is now over, and we have to turn our attention to preparing for conference play."
"Ashley and Chandice are a great duo and I would put them up with anyone in the country when it comes to shooting. They give us a lot of stability and it boosts the team's confidence when they are shooting well."
On Ashley Graham's all-around performance:
"Ashley played a phenomenal game on both ends of the floor tonight. She had a tough defensive assignment tonight and she did a great job."
On the performance of the post players:
"Whenever we can get the balance in our scoring attack, it is only going to help us because then teams can't just focus on stopping Ashley and Chandice. We worked on a lot of things defensively this week with our post players and they did very well tonight."
On having a healthy Jen Gottschalk (nine points, seven rebounds) back in the lineup:
"No question having Jen back has helped us. Every single night she can give us consistency, both on the boards and from a scoring standpoint. She did a great job for us tonight."
