Santa Clara women’s basketball will host a Blongo Ball Tournament on June 1 at the Alumni Park on the campus of Santa Clara University. The event will take place from 12-5 p.m. and will feature a BBQ.

Santa Clara Women's Basketball Has Successful 2012-13, Sets Bar for the Future
For the fifth consecutive season under Bronco head coach Jennifer Mountain, the Santa Clara women’s basketball team improved its win total. The Broncos won 14 games in 2012-13, including six in the West Coast Conference, matching its WCC total from 2010-11. Santa Clara also took on two teams that would play in the NCAA Tournament. The Broncos beat Fresno State 58-53 and fell to powerhouse No. 4 Stanford who advanced to the Sweet 16 after four straight Final Four appearances.

Meagan Fulps Headed to China with USA All-Stars for Two Week, Nine Game Tour
Getting a chance to continue playing basketball after her final season on the Mission campus, Santa Clara women’s basketball’s Meagan Fulps was invited to play on the NetScouts Basketball All-Star Team. Fulps, who finished her Bronco career at No. 7 on the all-time scoring list with 1,297 points, will travel to China and play nine games in 14 days. The U.S. team will take on teams from Brazil, China and Australia.

Women's Basketball Falls to Portland in WCC Tournament
In its first game of the West Coast Conference Tournament, Santa Clara women’s basketball fell to Portland by a final of 70-64 in a tightly contested game. The loss ends Santa Clara’s season at 14-16 overall and puts Portland at 11-19.

After finishing the regular season with the No. 6 seed, Santa Clara women’s basketball will head to Las Vegas for the West Coast Conference Tournament. The Broncos will face Portland on Thur., March 7 at 2:30 p.m. Santa Clara ended the regular season with a pair of losses at Saint Mary’s and vs. San Diego to put its record of 14-15 overall and 6-10 in conference.

Women's Basketball Falls on Senior Day to San Diego to Finish Regular Season
On Senior Day at the Leavey Center, Santa Clara women’s basketball fell to San Diego by a final of 84-66. The loss puts the Broncos at 14-15 overall and 6-10 in the West Coast Conference to end the regular season while San Diego is now 20-8 and 12-4 in conference.

Gilday Gears Up To Start For The Broncos
Nici Gilday (NG) rounded up enough awards and honors in high school to last her a life time, but this stellar scholar athlete kept the success going with her amazing freshman season. Now, as a sophomore, Gilday is looking forward to starting for the Santa Clara's women's basketball ball team. SantaClaraBroncos.com (SCU) was interested in finding out more about Gilday's feelings regarding starting. Gilday shared that, more than anything, she is excited to have the opportunity to contribute to her team and help lead them to a successful season. Women's Basketball Can't Hang with Zags, Fall 70-55
Despite strong performances from Ruta Zurauskyte and Meagan Fulps, the Santa Clara women’s basketball team fell to visiting Gonzaga 70-55 Thursday night at the Leavey Center. The Broncos move to 13-13 overall, 5-8 in the WCC. Gonzaga improves to 23-5, 13-1 in the WCC. Zurauskyte notched her fifth double-double of the season, ending the night with 19 points and 11 rebounds. She was one point shy of hit the 20-point mark this year, a feat she has accomplished three times this year. Meagan Fulps scored 15 points, including 4-of-6 from distance. Ricki Radanovich ended with six points; the sharpshooter was held scoreless in the second half. The Broncos shot 20-45 from field goal range, for 44.4%. Raquel Avila dished out seven assists, tying her career-high.

Women's Basketball Takes on Gonzaga on NBC Sports Network Thursday at Leavey; Tip Moved to 6 PM
Playing on national television for the first time this season, Santa Clara women’s basketball will host rival Gonzaga in a big West Coast Conference matchup on Thur., Feb. 21. The game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network starting at 6:00 p.m. with Ted Robinson and Krista Blunk making the call. The game time has been moved up one hour from 7 p.m. to accommodate television.

Women's Basketball Faces Pepperdine on the Road
Coming off of a win over LMU at home, Santa Clara women’s basketball travels to Malibu, Calif. to take on Pepperdine on Thur., Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. They are to move to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in the West Coast Conference this year. It is the quickest the team has reached 10 wins in a season since 2007-08 when the Broncos got their 10th win on Dec. 31, 2007 to move their record to 10-3. That season Santa Clara went 20-11 overall and 8-6 in the WCC.

Senior Meagan Fulps Looks to End the Season on a High-Note
With half the basketball season down, Meagan Fulps looks to finish out her last season here on the Mission campus on a good note. Recently, in the last game against Gonzaga, Fulps (MF) moved into ninth place all-time in points at Santa Clara. Along with this new accomplishment, Meagan Fulps has had an impressive career here for the Broncos, including setting the SCU record for free throws made, WCC All-Freshman Team, and top freshman scorer in the WCC.

Fueled by a strong performance from senior Lindsay Leo, the Santa Clara women’s basketball team notched a victory in its home conference opener against Loyola Marymount. After a tight first half, the Broncos used a 10-0 run midway through the second half and held on to grab a 58-54 victory.

In its final non-conference game of the season, Santa Clara women’s basketball beat UNLV by a final of 70-64. The victory puts Santa Clara at 8-5 while the loss moves UNLV to 4-10. The Broncos are coming off a 70-67 loss vs. CSU Northridge and enter the game with a record of 3-4 while Long Beach State sits at 4-3, fresh off a 71-61 win over Arizona on Dec. 2.

Iman Scott of Bronco Women's Basketball Expected to Bring Her "A-Game" Back to the Court Soon
Iman Scott of the Bronco women’s basketball team is a San Jose local who starred at Division II powerhouse, Archbishop Mitty High School. Due to an ACL injury, Scott sat out the majority of her senior year at Mitty. Although the ACL injury kept her out of preseason practices with the Broncos when she arrived, Scott returned later in the year to become a part of the Bronco’s rotation. She averaged 16.6 minutes per game during a stretch in December of 2010 and played in 23 of 30 games as a true freshman. Prior to last season, Scott tore her Achilles and was not able to play. Since then, she has been working hard to be able to get back on the court to play as a Bronco. For this upcoming season, Scott is almost ready to bring her “A game” on to the court. Scott (IS) shared with SantaClaraBroncos.com (SCB) what her recovery process has been like and how much she looks forward to playing with the team again.
