EYEBRONCO: Tipping Off with Ruta Zurauskyte

EYEBRONCO: Santa Clara's Voice chats with Ruta Zurauskyte

Santa Clara, Calif.- The Santa Clara Women's Basketball team is off to a 5-4 start this season and redshirt-junior Ruta Zurauskyte has been a big part of the team's success averaging 10.4 points per game while leading the team in rebounding, pulling down 7.0 rpg.

Zurauskyte's best individual game this season came in the  Broncos 82-71 win over Cleveland St. on November 24th with a 22 point and 16 rebound performance.

Zurauskyte is a prime example of hard working paying off. The junior from Siauliai, Lithuania played in only 10 games in her first two seasons while on the Mission Campus, but last year enjoyed a breakout season before suffering a year-ending injury.
Recently, SantaClaraBroncos.com's John Nash had the opportunity to chat with Zurausktye about this year's team as well has her experience at Santa Clara.  Click here to watch the video.

The Broncos return to action this Sunday at 4:00 p.m. @ UC Davis.
