SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Junior goalie Bianca Henninger was honored on TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Season - Second Team, as announced today by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Henninger was an integral part of the 2010 Santa Clara women's soccer team posting its 28th winning season in program history. The 'keeper started 21 games and posted a 13-6-2 record with eight shutouts a 0.67 goals-against-average and a .865 save percentage.
In the Broncos' first round NCAA Tournament game against Long Beach, Henninger also tied a SCU NCAA record of 12 saves in a single match, set back in 1992 by Sue Wall against North Carolina.
Henninger is currently ranked 27th in goals-against-average in NCAA D-I competition and 18th in save percentage (through games played before Nov. 14).
Santa Clara concluded the 2010 season with a 13-7-2 record and made its 21st appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
