SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Rising senior goalkeeper Bianca Henninger recently completed play at the Four Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain, with the U.S. U-23 team while rising sophomore and reigning WCC Freshman of the Year Julie Johnston is currently in La Manga, Spain with the U.S. U-20 squad.
Henninger played two entire games, a 4-2 win over Sweden and a 1-1 draw with England. The Americans defeated Norway 3-2 in a come-from-behind victory in the final round-robin match to take the Four Nations Tournament title.
Johnston is in Spain with the U.S. side from Feb. 28-March 9 for three games at the Ten Nations Tournament. The USA will face Sweden (March 4), England (March 6) and Norway (March 8). There is no winner in the tournament as each team will play three friendly matches.
