At Monday's first annual SCU Celebrity Golf Tournament, current and former Broncos joined a host of sports celebrities for a closest to the pin competition at the Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club in Menlo Park. EYEBRONCO reporter David Gentile caught up with competition winner Kristine Lilly — the most capped player in U.S. women's soccer history, Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Khalif Barnes and 2001 Santa Clara women's soccer national champion Aly Wagner.

EYEBRONCO: Women's Soccer Celebrity Golf Fundraiser - World Cup Edition
Santa Clara University Athletics hosted the first annual SCU Celebrity Golf Tournament – with more than 25 sports celebrities — benefitting the Bronco Bench Foundation and the Bronco women's soccer program on Mon., June 23 at the Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club in Menlo Park. Sports celebrities included former Super Bowl Champion players, a World Series Champion Manager, a Super Bowl referee, a Heisman Trophy Winner, World Cup Champions, Olympic Gold Medalists, MLB All-Stars, the current head coaches of the MLS Earthquakes and NHL Sharks -- the list goes on and on! In his first day as an EYEBRONCO reporter, men's basketball senior Yannick Atanga caught up with a number of the celebrities to talk World Cup soccer!

Women's Soccer Great Brandi Chastain to Speak at Undergraduate Commencement June 14
Santa Clara University will honor world famous soccer athlete, champion of girls' health, 1991 SCU graduate and women's soccer Volunteer Assistant Coach Brandi Chastain at the University's 163rd undergraduate commencement ceremony June 14. Chastain's selection to give the commencement address memorializes the 50th anniversary of women's athletics at Santa Clara which the University celebrates this year.

Santa Clara Women's Soccer Announces 2014 Schedule
Coming off the 10th West Coast Conference title in program history, Santa Clara women’s soccer announced its schedule for the 2014 season. The Broncos will open up with six straight home games before hitting the road. Conference play opens with three road games and the regular season wraps-up with three straight home contests.
