Santa Clara, Calif.—The Santa Clara women's tennis team will compete in its second tournament of the fall season this weekend when they travel to Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif. beginning Fri., Oct. 14th. They will participate in the SMC Fall Invitational.

"We are one of the strongest teams in this tournament and so we are looking to do really well here," Bronco head coach Ben Cabell said, "Besides the few minor injuries we have, the girls who are competing are going to be really strong and perform well. These matches will help us prepare for the rest of the season."
Due to an extraordinary number of withdrawals and partner changes, The SMC Fall Invitational
will now have two singles draws of 32 and one 8-person flight. In doubles they will have two flights.

Several of the top players from the West Coast will be participating. Santa Clara's No. 86 Katie Le will be the No. 3 seed in the Invitational. Other ranked players in attendance will be the double team No. 59 Catherine Isip and Jenny Jullien of Saint Mary's and No. 116 Veronica Li of Stanford.

Matches will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Fri., Oct. 14th with doubles and end on Sun., Oct. 16th. They will be held on the Saint Mary's campus in the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex and off campus at the Moraga Country Club.
