Bronco Women Continue Play on the Tennis Courts in California

The Bronco women's tennis team, competing this weekend in both Los Angeles and Berkeley, Calif. continued to play well.  Play continues throughout the weekend.

At the Riviera/ITA Women's All American Championships Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Los Angeles, Bronco seniors Kelly Lamble and Maggie McGeorge, who won the first round, fell in the second round Sunday morning to Edyta Cieplucha and Aleksandra Malyarchikova of SMU.  

The play at Cal was highlighted by Katie Le advancing to the semi-finals of the Gold ITA Singles at Cal. Le defeated Cal's Annie Goransson 2-6;6-4;7-5. Le is the fourth seed and Goransson is the fifth seed.

SC Alex Zaniewski advanced to the semi-finals of the Gold ITA Singles Consolation bracket with a win over Cal's Klara Fabikova Wo, who withdrew due to an injury.

Charlotte Newell defeated Saint Mary's singles player Melissa Arthur  6-3;1-6;1-0(4) in the White ITA Singles Consolation Quarterfinals.

Stephanie Skaras advanced to the Blue ITA Singles Semi-finals with a 6-4;5-7;1-0(5) victory over  USF Melind Akerbrandt.
