SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 58 Santa Clara women's tennis team enters its last official competition of the 2013 season this weekend before the West Coast Conference Championships, which begin on April 24. The three-match road trip consists of WCC opponents Gonzaga on Fri., April 19 and Portland on Sat., April 20. After these two matches, Santa Clara will play nonconference team No. 70 Oregon on Sun., April 21.

The Broncos (9-8; 5-1 WCC) are coming off of two exciting upsets over then-No. 53 USD on April 6, 6-1, and No. 40 Saint Mary's on April 7, 4-3. They are tied for the second best record in the WCC with Pepperdine behind Saint Mary's who is 7-1 in WCC.

No. 28 Katie Le had a stand out match on April 7 against No. 40 Saint Mary's. The Milpitas, Calif. native was able to get ahead and take the first set, 7-5. Jullien fired back in the second set and led Le at one point 3-1. Le battled back in the second to make it 6-6. The singles match and the overall team match was decided in a tiebreaker, ending in Le's favor 7-4. Le is now 4-4 against ranked players this season.

Gonzaga

The Zags drop to 9-10 overall and 0-5 in West Coast Conference matches after losing to BYU by a score of 4-3 on April 13.
