Women’s Tennis Heads to Stanford for USTA/ITA Northwest Regionals
In its second tournament of the fall season, the Santa Clara women’s tennis team travels to Palo Alto, Calif. from Fri., Oct. 10 to Sun., Oct. 12 in the USTA/ITA Northwest Regionals. The tournament is hosted by Stanford University at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

Chelby Cooke: It's a Family Affair
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Women’s tennis junior Chelby Cooke (CC) talked with Santa Clara Broncos (SCB) about her family, getting her start with tennis, and upcoming plans. As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Cooke posted a 3-5 record in fall singles and in the spring was named the No. 1 All-Tournament doubles team with teammate Katie Le in the WCC Championships. One of two upperclassmen, Cooke has stepped into a unique leadership role on a team with many new players.

The Santa Clara women’s tennis team wrapped up the first competition of the Fall season at the Cal Nike Invitational on Sunday. Bronco freshmen, Riley Morgan and Zeina El Tawil, reached the final day of matches in their White and Gold consolation brackets.

The Santa Clara women’s tennis team competed in the first day of the Cal Nike Fall Invitational in Berkeley, Calif. on Friday. Seven players on the Bronco roster had the opportunity to showcase their talents in the first matches of the 2014-15 preseason.

With 16 Teams Posting 3.0 or Better, Broncos Top Mark For 22nd Time in 23 Quarters
Topping 3.0 or better for the 22nd time in 23 quarters with 19 Bronco student-athletes achieving a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) and 16 of the 19 Bronco teams scoring a 3.0 term GPA or higher, Santa Clara University's student-athletes recorded a 3.125 GPA for the Spring 2014 quarter. Santa Clara's cumulative GPA of 3.087 continues to climb for its student-athletes as well.

Bronco senior Katie Le battled hard in her third-consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, but fell in the first round to Olivia Janowicz of Florida by a score of 6-0, 6-2.

No. 31 Katie Le of the Santa Clara women’s tennis team will face No. 14 Olivia Janowicz of the University of Florida on Wednesday, May 21 at 9:30 a.m. PST in the first round of the NCAA Division 1 Singles Championships at the University of Georgia.
