SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics, Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, and Salem Media Group will continue their partnership to broadcast men's basketball games.
During 2019-20, at least 10 nonconference games will air on either KDOW-AM 1220. League contest radio outlets will be announced once the West Coast Conference finalizes tipoff times.
Longtime Bay Area broadcaster and voice of the Broncos Anthony Passarelli returns for his 13th season and will once again be joined by former Santa Clara player and analyst John Stege. The broadcasts include a pregame show a few minutes before tipoff and a 15-minute postgame show.
The first broadcast airing on KDOW-AM 1220 is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5, when the Broncos take on UC Santa Cruz.
The partnership, which began two seasons ago when the parties agreed on a multiyear deal, also includes weekly interviews of fourth-year head coach Herb Sendek and promotional opportunities for Bronco Athletics.
