Baseball Announces Top-Notch 2024 Schedule

The 2024 Santa Clara baseball schedule features 25 home games, six Pac-12 opponents and three 2023 NCAA Tournament teams.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Santa Clara University baseball team announced its ultra-competitive 2024 schedule on Monday, which features games against six 30-win teams from a year ago, five Pac-12 opponents on the road, and three programs that joined the Broncos in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Santa Clara, coming off a 36-win campaign, a West Coast Conference Tournament championship, and its first trip to an NCAA Regional in 26 years, will play 25 home games at Stephen Schott Stadium. Season tickets, single-game, and mini plans for all 25 of the Broncos' 2024 home games are on sale now. Click here to purchase your tickets online, call the Broncos ticket office (408-554-4660) or email them at broncotickets@scu.edu.

The Broncos will host back-to-back Men's College World Series participant Stanford on April 23. Crosstown rival, defending Mountain West Conference champion and 2023 Stanford Regional participant San Jose State comes to Schott Stadium twice for midweek clashes, on March 19 and April 2.

Other featured home series include the home opener versus UMBC on Feb. 23-25, the West Coast Conference opener versus Portland on March 22-24, traditional WCC power Pepperdine on April 12-14, and Senior Weekend versus defending WCC regular season champion LMU on May 10-12.

"We challenge ourselves yearly by playing the best competition, preparing us for the WCC regular season along with postseason play, and the 2024 season is no different," said Santa Clara head coach Rusty Filter. "Our team is excited to face this competition head-on and see how we stack up. We're ready to rise to the challenges in front of us and accomplish our goals."
The Broncos begin 2024 on the road on Feb. 16-18 at Pac-12 Conference power Arizona State. They'll also have road tests at 2023 NCAA Tournament teams Stanford (April 30), Washington (March 1-3) and San Jose State (Feb. 27). Santa Clara will face two 30-win teams on the same day on April 20, facing Sacramento State and host Southern California at Great Park in Irvine. The Broncos travel to Berkeley to face Cal on March 25.

The WCC schedule will provide its own challenges on the road, including at Gonzaga (April 5-7), at San Diego (May 3-5), at San Francisco (March 28-30), and at Pacific (May 16-18). On top of hosting LMU, Portland and Pepperdine, the Broncos will also host East Bay rival Saint Mary's on April 26-28.

The WCC Tournament returns to Las Vegas Ballpark in Las Vegas on May 22-25. The NCAA Tournament begins with the Regionals round on May 31, while Super Regionals weekend will take place June 7-10. The 2024 Men's College World Series kicks off on June 14 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.
