SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field is back in action on Friday and Saturday at two events in the nearby Bay Area. The Broncos have a large group slated to compete at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and Jack Davidson is the lone Bronco set to race at the Stanford Invitational.

Santa Clara spent Saturday, March 17 in the state Capitol as five runners took part in the Sacramento State-hosted Hornet Invitational. Berriatua led the way with a third-place finish in the men's 1,500-meter run, clocking a 3:49.97.
Wood and Sargent doubled up at 800 and 1,500 meters for the Broncos. Nabholz (800 meters) and Chrisman (400-meter hurdles) rounded out the small Santa Clara contingent at Hornet Stadium.
