SANTA CLARA BRONCOS
We are Santa Clara University, the oldest operating institution of higher learning in California, founded in 1851 and built around the Mission Santa Clara de Asís. When referencing the school and its teams, please use, “Santa Clara University,” “Santa Clara,” “SCU” or “The Broncos.”

Please DO NOT use “University of Santa Clara,” “Santa Clara College,” “USC,” “SC,” or any other iteration. Also, DO NOT use “Lady Broncos” in reference to any Santa Clara women’s programs. All Santa Clara teams go by “the Broncos.”

The official hashtags for Athletics are #SCUBroncos & #StampedeTogether.

DEPARTMENT OF ATHLETICS INTERVIEW POLICY

All interview requests for Santa Clara coaches, student-athletes or administrators must be filtered through the Santa Clara Athletics Media Relations department. To request an interview, please reach out to the correct media relations contact for the appropriate sport AT LEAST 48 hours in advance to allow appropriate time to coordinate with all parties. Any general inquiries, time-sensitive requests or requests for administrative staff should be directed to Associate AD for Media Relations, Matt Penland.

The media relations staff will gladly coordinate interviews in whichever medium is most convenient for the requesting media personnel – in-person, phone call or Zoom/video chat. The ideal time for in-person interviews is immediately following daily practices.

All Santa Clara practice facilities, locker rooms and team training areas are off limits to the media unless accompanied by a media relations staff member. All Santa Clara coaches, staff and student-athletes are instructed to not conduct interviews when contacted directly.

Interviews with coaches and/or student-athletes on game days will only be permitted following the completion of the event. A member of the media relations staff will be present in-person to coordinate any interview requests at that time.

WORKING PRESS CREDENTIALS
Media credentials are created and issued on a game-by-game basis, and are issued to working media members only. Members of the media are defined as television stations, radio stations (including student radio), newspapers and established websites that provide coverage for Santa Clara Athletics. All credential requests should be directed to the appropriate media relations contact NO LATER than 24 hours prior to the event itself.

Credentials will be approved by the appropriate media relations contact at their discretion. Every effort will be made to provide adequate media seating for all credentialed members, but may not always be guaranteed.

Credentials will be available for in-person pick up at the venue's will call/ticket booth at least one hour before the start of competition unless otherwise stated by the media relations contact.

DOCUMENTARY POLICY
Any requests for capturing content for the purposes of a documentary must be approved in advance by Matt Penland, Associate Athletic Director of Media Relations.

VISITING TEAM BROADCAST
Visiting radio or television stations looking to cover any Santa Clara Athletics event must reach out to the appropriate media relations contact at least 48 hours in advance to ensure proper arrangements are made.

INTERNET ACCESS
Wireless internet connection is available at all Santa Clara athletics facilities. Ethernet cables can also be requested. All requests or questions should be directed to a media relations staff member.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography credentials are similar to media credentials and must be requested NO LATER than 24 hours prior to the desired event. All requests should be sent to AJ Tinio, Director of Digital Strategy. Any photographer that is shooting in a designated photo area and does NOT have an approved credential on them will be asked to leave by a member of the Santa Clara Athletics Staff.

USE OF SCU ATHLETICS LOGOS, BRANDING, AND MARKS
Any inquiries regarding the use of Santa Clara Athletics marks, including logos and wordmarks, should be directed to Associate Athletic Director of Media Relations, Matt Penland.

LIVE STATS
