SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field continues a span of five meets in five weeks on Saturday at the Fresno State-hosted Bulldog Invitational. The Broncos will compete at 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meters beginning at 4:30 p.m. and all races will be wrapped up within three hours of start time.

Zach Litoff recorded the second-fastest 3,000-meter Steeplechase mark in program history and Xander Olivero outraced all competition at 5,000 meters as part of a successful weekend. Litoff's 9:01.46 effort came for the Broncos as part of the Mt. SAC Relays at El Camino College and Olivero notched his 14:51.60 in the Beach Invitational at Long Beach State.
Litoff's time puts him just on the outside looking in for a spot in the NCAA West Regional Meet alongside Joey Berriatua. He ranks 54th and Berriatua ranks 52nd; the top 48 runners earn automatic qualification to the postseason.
