NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – CSUN won four singles matches to defeat Santa Clara women's tennis 4-2 on Saturday in a nonconference tilt.

Jenna Dorian won in straight sets over Varya Zlotnik 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 to clinch the match on court five.

Santa Clara (2-7) got off to a strong start with a pair of dominating wins in doubles to go up 1-0 on the team score.

Zlotnik and Jamie Schroer blanked Magdalena Hedrzak and Dorian 6-0 on court three followed by JennaMarie Gordon and Giulia Hayer's 6-2 victory over Ekatarina Repina and Jacquie Tan on court two.

CSUN (3-2) strung together three-straight singles wins before the Broncos made it 3-2 when Vic Santibanez Luna had to retire in the match against Lindsey Pesqueira after each player won a set.

Freshman Finley Kalinic moved atop the singles lineup for the first time this season but lost 6-3, 7-5 to Jolene Coetzee.
