SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis fell to Fresno State, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center.  

Fresno State (7-1) picked up the doubles point when Pang Jittakoat and Carolina Piferi downed the Broncos tandem of Katherine Petty and Giulia Hayer, 6-4, on court one.  

The Bulldogs went up 3-0 on the team score when Jittakoat defeated Jamie Schroer, 6-2, 6-3, on court two, followed shortly after by Ella Husrefovic's court six win over Giulia Hayer, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4.

Santa Clara (1-3) put a temporary halt to Fresno State's momentum when Finley Kalinic handed Matilde Magrini a 7-5, 6-1 defeat atop the lineup but the Bulldogs clinched the match on court four when Velizara Fileva had to retire in a three set match against Cristina Flaquer.
