SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis fell to San Francisco 6-1 in a West Coast Conference match at home on Friday afternoon.  

The Dons (11-7, 4-3 WCC) picked up a pair of 6-4 wins in doubles action to go up 1-0 on the Broncos (9-8. 2-4) and added another team point with a singles win at No. 6. 

Trailing 2-0, Santa Clara got on the board at No. 2 when Jamie Schroer downed Chiho Mushika 6-1, 6-2 but that was the only point the Broncos could muster on the afternoon. 

USF won the next two singles matches including the match clincher at No. 4 by Rita Colyer over Velizara Fileva 6-3, 2-6, 6-1
