STANFORD, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis doubles duo of Jenna Marie Gordon and Velizara Fileva won their opening round match to advance to the round of 32 at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Gordon and Fileva won their opening round of 64 match against Fresno State's Giana Mastro and Mariia Vyshkina, 8-2. They will next play San Francisco's Simran Chhabra and Hana Gamracy in the round of 32.
The victory by Gordon and Fileva represented the lone victory for the Broncos at the opening day of the ITA Regionals going 1-2 in doubles and 0-6 in singles.

The Broncos continue play at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships on Saturday.
