SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis cruised to a 7-0 victory over the Academy of Art giving new Broncos head coach Allie Will her first career victory.  The Friday afternoon match at the Degheri Tennis Center was the spring season dual match opener for the Broncos (1-0) while it was an exhibition match for the Knights (0-0).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Santa Clara won the first two doubles matches including the doubles point clincher by Gabriela Tevez and Kacey Feng on court three.  The Bronco duo defeated Viktoria Leth and Paulina Alvarez 6-3. 
• In singles action, the Broncos did not drop a single set on their way to six-straight victories as the match was played out.  
• Tevez made quick work on court four, taking care of Leth, 6-1, 6-2 to put the Broncos up 2-0 on the team scoreboard.
• Freshman Maria Antonova made it 3-0 with her 6-0, 6-3 triumph over Georgiana Parr on court six.
• JennaMarie Gordon clinched the match atop the lineup with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Amelija Supulniece.
