SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis closed out the season with a 4-3 West Coast Conference victory over Gonzaga on Senior Day.  JennaMarie Gordon, who was one of the four seniors/graduate students recognized prior to first serve, had a hand in clinching both the doubles point and the match. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• With Santa Clara leading 3-2, Gordon defeated Emily Robertson 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 atop the singles lineup to secure the Broncos victory. 
• Gordon, Velizara Fileva and Gabriela Tevez each won their doubles and singles matches. 
• Before the match, four Bronco seniors/graduate students - Gordon, Finley Kalinic, Tevez and Varya Zlotnik - were recognized in a ceremony.
• Santa Clara (6-12, 2-4 WCC) carried that energy into doubles action picking up the point to go up 1-0.
• Tevez teamed up with Kacey Feng to defeat Lia Espinal and Brooke Bittner 7-5 on court three, followed by Gordon and Fileva's victory over Tiegan Aitken and Kianna Oda 7-5 on court one. 
• In singles action, Fileva made quick work of Ella Nielsen 6-0, 6-1 on court three to put SCU up 2-0. 
• Gonzaga (8-14, 2-6 WCC) took the next two singles matches on courts six and two to level things up at 2-all.
• Tevez put the Broncos ahead 3-2 when she beat Aitken 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) on court four.
• Gordon then won it for Santa Clara with her three-set victory on first year head coach Allie Will's birthday.
