Box Score PRINCETON, N.J. — Riccardo De Simon set a new season high for goals Saturday in only his second week of collegiate water polo, tallying five to power the No. 19 Santa Clara University men's water polo team to a 20-16 victory over Bucknell on day two of the Princeton Invitational.

De Simon scored three times in the first period alone as the No. 19 Broncos (3-1) jumped out to a 7-4 lead after eight minutes of play. It was his back-to-back goals four minutes into the period that put the Broncos up for good, erasing a 3-2 Bucknell lead and making it 4-3 at the time.

De Simon added single goals in the third and fourth periods for his five-goal day.
Harrison Villella turned in a three-goal performance
Charlie Engs,
Zach Fales and
Reese Jenican all scored two goals each.
Jason Alietti,
Luke Baird,
Henry Engs,
Jack Fisher,
Charlie Kosinski, and
Grant Roesch all added single goals.

Wyatt Stenson played the whole game in net for Santa Clara and made nine saves to earn the victory. Santa Clara's defense tightened as the game went on, allowing Bucknell five goals in the second period, but then only four in the third and three in the final period.

The Broncos conclude the Princeton Invitational at 9 a.m. PDT Sunday against Wagner. They return home for two games next week, hosting rival San Jose State Friday in their West Coast Conference opener and George Washington on Saturday for a non-conference match.
