Bronco Trio Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Santa Clara women's golf is once again well represented on the annual list of WGCA All-American Scholars. The 2024-25 edition features three Broncos - Audrey Brust, Sonia Hao and Proud Sriwongngam. The Broncos extended their streak of consecutive seasons with multiple honorees to six-straight while at least one Bronco has earned the prestigious honor each season dating back to 2015-16.

Brust, a native of Reno, Nev., is now a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar while the freshman duo of Hao and Sriwongngam each earned the honor for the first time.

The trio is three of a total number of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers that earned the honor this season. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must:
  • Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
  • Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
  • Have played in 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
Brust, who recently captured her second Nevada Women's State Amateur Championship, played in all 11 matches where she compiled a 74.52 scoring average. Hao averaged 77.66 strokes over five events while Sriwongngam played in six events and closed the year on a high note by tying for third at the Golfweek National Golf Invitational.
