Jenican earned a spot on the WWPA All-Freshman Team in 2022 and has collected numerous academic accolades over his career, including ACWPC All-Academic "Superior" honors in 2024 and "Excellent" honors in 2023. He is a two-time WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention pick and has twice landed on the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with "Bronze" honors.

The watch list was introduced in 2022 to spotlight the college game and features 20 student-athletes submitted by varsity coaches. The award was established in 1999 and is named in honor of legendary Hall of Fame coach Peter J. Cutino.
