SEATTLE —Sydney Lim paced the Santa Clara University women's track team in a massive mile field at the UW Invitational and Mile City, turning in the Broncos' top performance of the weekend at the Dempsey Indoor Facility.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lim clocked 5 minutes, 0.94 seconds, in the seeded mile and placed second in her section, leading a deep Santa Clara contingent on the "Mile City" featured day on Saturday. Sarah Guralnick followed with a 5:04.39 finish, placing ninth in her section, while Sigrid Brakenhielm added a 5:12.99 mark to take fifth in her section.

- Mia Mendez (5:14.00) and Olivia Schlieman (5:13.99) both competed in the seeded race. Aliyah Yearian (5:15.67) and Kaylee Volner (5:17.42) also contributed performances in the event.

- In the open mile, Grace Winkler led Santa Clara with a time of 5:35.13, followed closely by Rachelle Cormier in 5:36.77.
