STOCKTON, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis wrapped up play at the Pacific Invitational on Sunday with five more wins, this time against Saint Mary's in a hidden dual format where the match results only count for the individuals and not against the team record. Over the course of the three-day tournament, the Broncos won 10 of 12 singles and two of six doubles matches.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Just as they did on Saturday, the Broncos swept all four singles matches and split the two doubles matches. On Saturday, they did so against Sacramento State and on Sunday, it was against Saint Mary's.
- The doubles team of FaragCao and Boschmans beat Bastien Maxant and Sam Simmonds 6-4.
- In singles Boschmans also defeated Simmonds as the Gael had to retired after being down 6-2, 1-0.
- FaragCao, Mahir Khurana and Alex Bergomi each won their singles matches in straight sets.
- Boschmans and Bergomi were victorious in all three singles matches at the tournament.
