SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis fell 5-2 to Nevada at home on Monday at the Degheri Tennis Center.  The Wolf Pack took the doubles point and four of the six singles matches.      

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Silvia-Maria Costach clinched the match for Nevada (4-4), downing Anna Rahman in three sets 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 on court four.  
• Santa Clara (2-6) got their points on singles victories by Lizanne Boyer and Juliette Krumholz.
• Boyer handled Marlene Foerster 6-3, 6-4 on court two for the first singles result.  It knotted the team score at 1-all after Nevada took the doubles point.  
• Nevada won the next two singles matches on courts three and one to take a 3-1 lead.  
• Krumholz narrowed the lead to 3-2 when she beat Kariman Buqai 6-4, 6-2 on court six.
• Following Costach's clincher, the match was played out on court five where Kennedy Robinson won over Ashley Katz 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) for the final margin of victory of 5-2 in favor of Nevada.
