SEATTLE – Madhu Satishbabu earned her first collegiate dual match victory to secure the team win for Santa Clara women's tennis, 6-1, over Seattle on Sunday.  The Redmond, Washington native returned to home state to defeat Maija Tamura 6-1, 6-1 on court six.   
   
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Santa Clara (4-10, 1-2 WCC) swept the six singles matches after dropping the doubles point. 
• Satishbabu's clincher followed Lizanne Boyer, Ashley Katz and Anna Rahman's wins on courts two, four and three dropping just two games total. 
• Boyer defeated Natalia Michta 6-1, 6-0, Katz blanked Larissa Teramura 6-0, 6-0 and Rahman beat Daria Nazarenko 6-1, 6-0.  
• Seattle (1-10, 0-1 WCC) took the doubles point after dropping the first match.  On court three, Boyer and Juliette Krumholz teamed up to shutout Tamura and Teramura 6-0, however the Redhawks won the next two matches to go up 1-0 on the team score before the Broncos reeled off six straight wins.
