SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Pepperdine displayed their depth in the blanking of Santa Clara women's tennis 7-0 on Saturday at the Degheri Tennis Center in the West Coast Conference opener for the Broncos.  It was the Waves' third conference match already this spring who improved to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in WCC play.  The Broncos dropped to 3-9 and 0-1 in the WCC.  
   
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Pepperdine (8-3, 3-0 WCC) took the first two doubles matches and won all six singles matches despite pulling two nationally ranked players from the lineup.  
• Ziva Falkner and Alexia Harmon clinched the doubles point with their 6-3 victory over Daniella Dimitrova and Anna Rahman on court two. 
• No. 10-ranked Anastasiia Grechkina had the match clincher when she took down Dimitrova 6-3, 6-1 atop the lineup.  
• Madhu Satishbabu and Jamie Pope were inserted into the singles lineup at courts five and six for Santa Clara (3-9, 0-1 WCC).  Satishbabu played her third match of the spring and Pope, her second.
