SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis fell 6-1 to LMU in a West Coast Conference match on Friday afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center.  LMU took the doubles point and won five singles matches to pick up their fourth conference win of the year.  Daniella Dimitrova won her singles match to give the lone point for the Broncos.    
   
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Santa Clara (5-12, 1-4 WCC) got off to a good start in doubles, winning the first match.   Playing on court three, Lizanne Boyer and Juliette Krumholz defeated Lidia Gonzalez and Camilia Samel-Druz 6-1.  However, the Lions came back to take the next two matches to claim the doubles point.  Anastasia Bozova and Ada Piestrzynska downed Tian Yu Dong and Ashley Katz 6-4, followed by Helene Schnack and Kim-Michaela Zahraj's 7-5 clincher over Daniella Dimitrova and Anna Rahman on court two.
• All the LMU doubles winners also picked up wins in their singles matches where the Lions continued their strong play, taking the first five matches to clinch the team victory. 
• Zahraj's 6-2, 7-6, (7-4) triumph over Anna Rahman on court three clinched the match for LMU (9-8, 4-2 WCC) at 4-0.  
• The match was played out where Daniella Dimitrova earned a win atop the lineup, defeating Lidia Gonzalez in three sets, 7-6 (7-1), 0-6, 1-0 (11-9) to make it 5-1.
• Lizanne Boyer had an opportunity to get another point for SCU but she fell in three sets to Piestrzynska on court two.
