Women’s Tennis Signs Transfer from Missouri

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis announced the signing of Lara Quaglia, a transfer from Missouri with three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Quaglia saw extensive action as a freshman during the 2025-26 season for the Tigers, competing in the ultra-competitive Southeastern Conference.  The San Pedro, Jujuy, Argentina native was in the starting lineups in both doubles and singles in 29 of the 30 matches, missing only the dual match opener.

In doubles, Quaglia completed in seven matches at No.1, 14 at No. 2 and eight at No. 3.  And in singles, she competed in the three through six spots in the lineup, primarily settling down at No. 6.

"I chose Santa Clara University because I feel it is a place where I can grow in every aspect, both academically and athletically.  I also love the amazing location and the environment around the university." said Quaglia.

Quaglia reached a high of No. 378 in the ITA junior rankings and has three ITA singles and doubles titles each across J60 and J30 levels.

"Lara's passion, determination, and commitment to improving her game make her a great fit for our program," said Broncos head coach Allie Will-Van Alstyne.  "She is an incredible person who will fit seamlessly into the culture we've built here at Santa Clara, and we are excited to welcome her this fall."
