SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara head men's tennis coach Niall Angus announced the signing of Adam FaragCao, a top world junior ranked player from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  FaragCao reached a World Junior ITF ranking of No. 200 and holds five Canadian National Titles combined in singles and doubles.
 
"I chose Santa Clara University because I believe it's the perfect place for me to develop my career at a rapid pace as well as having highly regarded academics," said FaragCao.  "The SCU coaching staff with coach Angus and assistant coach Josh Page have been incredibly supportive and genuine throughout my recruiting process.  I believe with the team's support and the coaches' expertise and knowledge it will be the perfect environment to further my career and help Santa Clara's tennis to grow and reach bigger stages.  I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play for the Broncos and making friendships and brothers for life in the process."
 
FaragCao has won three ITF World Junior titles and has a career-high ATP rankings of No. 1475 in singles and 1257 in doubles. 
 
"I am delighted that Adam will be joining the Bronco family this upcoming fall.  It was clear from the very beginning of the recruiting process that Adam has all the characteristics of a Santa Clara tennis player," said Angus.  "His fundamental technical ability, elite speed and quickness and his all-court game style, lends itself to a high ceiling player.  These attributes, paired with his humility and work ethic, make Adam an incredibly exciting prospect to work with as coach Page and I are excited to help him reach his true potential.  We expect Adam to make an immediate impact on both the singles and the doubles court and we look forward to his starting his Bronco career this fall."
