Men's Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

The 2026 Santa Clara University men's cross country season starts Sept. 4 at the USF Invitational in San Francisco.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Santa Clara men's cross country team announced its 2026 schedule Wednesday, packed with key meets and challenging courses.

The Broncos will kick off their season on Sept. 4 at the USF Invitational, held in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Following their opener, the team will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for the John McNichols Invitational on Sept. 19 at the renowned LaVerne Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. The meet will serve as a preview for the national championship, which will be held at the same spot in November. Also on Sept. 19, other Broncos will compete closer to home at the Saint Mary's College Invitational in Concord, Calif., at Newhall Community Park.

A stretch of three important California-based meets at season's end starts on Oct. 17 when the Broncos return to the Bay Area to host their own annual Bronco Invitational at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, Calif. Santa Clara finished tied for fourth at last year's version, led by Liam Papavasiliou's 23rd-place individual placing.

The West Coast Conference Championship on Oct. 30 takes place two weeks later in San Diego at Mission Bay Tecolote Shores Park. That is followed by the NCAA Division I West Region Championship on Nov. 13th, hosted at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course in Sacramento.

The season culminates at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship on Nov. 21st, again at the LaVerne Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
