SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis announced the signing of Eliana Kook, a transfer from SMU and a former junior number one ranked player in British Columbia and Canada.
Kook won the Junior Canadian National Doubles Championship and was a six-time British Columbia Provincial Champion. She also won five ITF singles and four ITF doubles titles.
"I chose Santa Clara University because it offers the perfect balance of academic excellence, exceptional athletic opportunities, a beautiful location, and a welcoming community that allows me to grow both as a person and as a student-athlete," said Kook.
Last spring, Kook competed in four singles and three doubles matches at SMU.
"We're delighted to welcome Eliana to Santa Clara and officially complete our roster for the upcoming season," said Broncos head coach
Allie Will-Van Alstyne. "She brings the kind of character, determination, and competitive spirit that will make an immediate impact on our program. We're excited to bring this team together and can't wait to see what they accomplish over the course of the season."
