SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara men's tennis program is set to open the 2026-27 season on Saturday at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the first of potentially eight tournaments this fall. 

Led by head coach Niall Angus who enters his 11^th year at the helm, the Broncos are coming off one of their most successful seasons in program history earning an NCAA Team Championship bid for only the second time while capturing their first ever West Coast Conference Co-Championship. 

Santa Clara returns seven players - a quartet of seniors in Tiago Boschmans, Valentin Faure, Luca Lemaitre and Lukas Maskow, a pair of juniors Luca Bluett and Mahir Khurana and a sophomore Ferran Redza. 

Two main cogs in the lineup, Alexander Watanabe Eriksson and John Kim, were lost to graduation.  Watanabe Eriksson played atop the singles lineup while Kim played the same spot in doubles.  Kim also played at singles No. 3.  

Last season, Lemaitre and Bluett garnered All-WCC first team recognitions, in singles and doubles, respectively, while Faure was a singles honorable mention.

Bluett along with his doubles partner Kim became the first-ever Santa Clara men's tennis players to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships.

Faure posted 21 singles victories while Bluett and Kim had 15 doubles wins to lead the team. 

The Broncos welcome three newcomers – Alex Bergomi, Anirudh Dhanwada and Adam FaragCao - to round out a 10-player roster.
